What Is Would You Rather?
Would You Rather is a conversation game built on a single, simple idea: you are given two options, and you have to pick one. No skipping, no "neither", no sitting on the fence. That small rule is what makes the game work — the moment someone has to commit to an answer, they also have to explain themselves, and that is where the real fun starts.
The questions can be silly ("Would you rather have a permanent clown nose or permanent clown shoes?"), thoughtful ("Would you rather know when you will die or how you will die?"), or somewhere in between. What matters is that both options are genuinely tempting or genuinely awful, so the choice is actually hard.

How to Play
The rules take about ten seconds to explain, which is exactly why the game travels so well — road trips, classrooms, dinner tables, waiting rooms, video calls.
- Choose a category. Pick one of the 20 themed categories below the play button, or hit "Just Play" to draw from all 750+ questions at once.
- Read the question out loud. One person reads both options to the group.
- Everyone commits. Count down from three and have everyone answer at the same time so nobody copies the room.
- Explain yourself. This is the important part. The answer is never as interesting as the reason behind it.
- Draw the next one. The game never repeats a question until you have seen the whole category.
Fun variations to try
- Majority Rules. Before answering, everyone guesses which option the group will pick. Anyone who guesses the split correctly scores a point.
- Odd One Out. If one person is alone in their answer, they have to defend it for thirty seconds without repeating themselves.
- Prediction Round. Pick one player. Everyone else guesses what that person will choose before they answer. Great for couples and close friends.
- Party Mode. Use the full-screen mode to display questions on a TV so a large group can play together.
