Would You Rather Online is a free party game with more than 750 questions across 20 categories. It opens in a browser, works on a phone, and starts the moment you tap a category.
I’m Joan Ramos, and I build small free websites.
It started with a printables site I made called Mary’s Printables. I thought it would stay a hobby — then people started writing. A teacher who’d found exactly the worksheet her class needed. A parent using a chart with a child having a hard time. Someone printing at midnight before a party.
Nobody mentioned the design. What mattered was that something useful was there, worked immediately, and didn’t ask them for anything. That’s the bar for everything I’ve built since.
A room has gone quiet. Someone says “let’s play something.” Now you have about forty seconds before the moment passes.
That’s when you don’t want to be downloading an app, making an account, or scrolling a listicle of forty questions where half of them aren’t really questions at all — one option obviously better than the other, nothing to argue about, conversation dead on arrival.
You need a good question, right now, on the phone already in your hand.
A real “would you rather” splits the room. Both options have to be genuinely bad, or genuinely tempting, in different ways. The moment one answer is clearly correct, it stops being a game and becomes a formality.
Most question lists online fail that test. Every question here was written against it.
A question that reads badly, a category that’s mislabeled, a bug on your phone — tell me at [email protected] and it reaches me directly, not a support queue.
Would You Rather Online is one of a family of free tools and games I run at FriendlyApps.
